28th Tritium Focus Group Meeting

November 15 through 17, 2005
Rochester, New York

The 28th Tritium Focus Group Meeting will be held at the University of Rochester's Laboratory for Laser Energetics (LLE) on 15 through 17 November 2005.

Foreign nationals are urged to register early to ensure that Department of Energy clearances can be obtained prior to the meeting. If you have questions, you should contact Jean Steve via email (jste@lle.rochester.edu) or phone (585) 275-5286.

LLE houses OMEGA--the largest direct-drive laser facility in the world. LLE has been conducting inertial confinement fusion (ICF) experiments since the early 1970s. Tritium storage, target filling facilities, and tritium recovery systems were installed to support DT-gas operations in 1995. Facilities are currently being readied to prepare, characterize, and field cryogenic targets containing DT ice. More information about the LLE can be found at: http://www.lle.rochester.edu/. Tours of the tritium handling facilities, the laser bay, and the OMEGA EP facilities will be organized during the workshop.
